- Back everything up.
- Under promise. Overdeliver.
- Less is best, but don’t obsess. Start simple and only make it more complex as necessary.
- Learn the keyboard shortcuts.
## Professional Relations
- you are providing a very valuable service so your prices should reflect that. Yes a 11 year old will do your job for free, pick your battles.
- insisting in communication via email, especially when it comes to changes. That way everything is time/day stamped and provable who said WHAT and WHEN.
- Watch your export before sending.
## Video Specific
- When in doubt, leave it out. Almost any video can be improved by making it shorter. If a shot doesn't move the story forward, it doesn't belong.
- if you were in that room, fly on the wall, observing the conversation, who would you want to be watching? cut to them. Reaction shots are important!
- Don't hold on to great shots, if they don't fit to the whole scope of the project.
